Mental Health Community Support Services includes Individual Recovery Support Program and Group Based Peer Recovery Support Program. Both are based in the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service region.
The Gold Coast Mental Health Community Support Service offers adults with severe and/or persistent mental illness an individual recovery support program to assist skills development, relapse prevention and overall support for recovery.
This support program is offered for high intensity and frequency support for up to three months, ranging from 2-3 contacts per week. The following nine months involves low intensity support, either weekly or fortnightly. The programs assists participants access a range of individualised, non-clinical, holistic, psychosocial wraparound supports. The program helps participants:

This group program aims to empower and support individuals by working through group processes, sharing recovery experiences and developing support networks and social connections. Groups are a mix of structured and unstructured sessions and include peer support, physical adventure/ activity and creative arts. A calendar of activities will be available for participants to explore.
This group support program offers up to 12 months access to a variety of program activities, hosted in various community settings. Each session runs for approximately two hours. Led by qualified peer workers with a lived experience of recovery, participants have the opportunity to:
