Transform your creative vision into digital masterpieces! Wesley Arts workshops across Brisbane and SLES programs will equip you with the skills and software to flourish in digital animation, graphic design, and illustration.
In these relaxed digital animation workshops, participants will learn how to use their iPads and computers to create digital art, illustration and animation. Whether you are looking to work digitally, or with hybrid techniques, our facilitators Pearce and Ash will support you in achieving your visual goals. Ash is also happy to offer advice for creating comics, concept art, and other independent projects.
Small group sessions are available for our School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) program* and focus not only on digital art and animation, but also on developing business + social skills required to develop a career in the arts. Participants work on individual projects and also collaborations.
All workshops are suitable for beginners and beyond. BYO devices. There are a few iPads with Procreate available to use.
Pearce Hoskinson
Pearce is a freelance filmmaker, writer, director and teacher with a background in illustration and graphic design. Pearce brings his industry experience to schools and the wider community, teaching film, 3D modelling and animation. Storyboards are his favourite things to draw because they combine illustration and film.
Ash Djokic
Cartoonist and experimental animator from Ngunnawal Country, Ash's practice spans 2D traditional animation, stop-motion, and hand-made techniques using sand, light-boxes, shadow puppetry, 35mm film, and flip-books. Ash is also a hobbyist film photographer and loves teaching in community spaces.

The School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) program offers participants two days of supported learning for school leavers to transition towards a viable career in the creative industries so if you have a creative young adult (living with different abilities) in your care, please reach out to us for a free trial to see if we might be a good fit.
