Wesley Mission Queensland becoming an incorporated entity - Wesley Mission Queensland Limited (WMQL)

We are excited to announce that from 1 October 2024, Wesley Mission Queensland will become an incorporated company, Wesley Mission Queensland Limited (WMQL).

This change will have no effect on our customers and employees, but will simplify our legal structure and enable us to grow and prosper as a not-for-profit provider.

We will continue to be known as Wesley Mission Queensland and operate as an incorporated institution of the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod.

“The incorporation of Wesley Mission Queensland allows a more transparent governance system - particularly for our funding bodies and customers - and is a common progression when non-profit organisations mature in size and responsibility,” Wesley Mission Queensland’s Chief Executive Officer, Jude Emmer said.

“WMQ’s values and mission remain the same - we continue to walk alongside those who need us and work towards a compassionate, just and inclusive society for all.

“Customers and supporters can be confident they can continue to rely on us. Our day-to-day operations, exceptional staff and valued volunteers will not be affected by this change.

“Wesley Mission Queensland has a long and proud history of supporting Queenslanders and we look forward to seeing the organisation grow and flourish over the next 100 years.
