Our services include centre-based day respite and a diverse range of day programs and activities, social groups and social outings for those over the age of 65 and younger people with a disability.

Enjoy all the comforts of home, including quality meals, activities, and visiting health professionals, in a secure and culturally inclusive environment. With flexible booking and a range of funding options available, let us help make your respite experience a memorable one.
Spend a few hours or a day with us to make new friends and enjoy social and physical activities. We facilitate:
- Gentle exercise that's customised for each participant
- A range of visiting allied health professionals, including podiatry, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech pathology.
- Activities tailored to interests (e.g. art, board games, gardening, music, etc.)
- Social connection by spending time with new and familiar faces
- Bus trips and social outings
Hyland House Centre-based respite offers a friendly, safe and respectful environment for everyone. Morning tea and lunch is also provided.

Funding and payment options
Funding your respite care can be done via:
- your Home Care Package (HCP),
- the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and an appropriate referral,
- the Queensland Community Support Scheme
You can also access respite privately (fee-for-service).

Mum has been going to Hyland House for many years, and it is such a blessing for mum and our family. Mum loves interacting with the friendly, kind, funny (and patient!) volunteers and staff. She always comes home with a smile.
