Our relief services
The Brisbane Relief Hub provides a range of services to help you during times of need. We also offer various social and educational activities, including daytime meals, access to other services, expressive arts, and budgeting.
To be eligible for the food hampers and medical script subsidies drop-in service, you must provide proof of low income (health care card or pension card; or a bank statement or payslip; or a refugee card or other proof of low income) and proof of identity, such as a photo ID or two forms of non-photo ID.

Free haircuts 2026 dates
Kindly provided by Hair Aid during our Tuesdays BBQ from 9:30am to 11:00am. Please register downstairs on the day, then head up the stairs on Warry Street.

Singing group - join the fun!
Enjoy a welcoming community vibe, sweet treats and uplifting singing. All are welcome! Come for the coffee, stay for the friendship. Every Wednesday, 1–3pm.
Thursday community lunch
Brighten your Thursdays with a colourful, nutritious lunch. Enjoy delicious food, good company and a welcoming community spirit. every Thursday, 1:00 – 2:30pm.

ID is required for food hampers. Up to 10 per financial year - when available, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, hygiene products, baby items, toiletries and pet food. Minimum two weeks between services.

Provided by Hair Aid every 6 weeks. Hair Aid is an Australian charity kindly providing free haircuts. They will be joining us during our Tuesday BBQ from 9:30am to 11:00am. To take part, please register downstairs on the day with one of our workers, then head up the stairs on Warry Street.

Drop-in service FAQs
For drop-in services, you do not need an appointment, but to be eligible for the food hampers and medical script services, you must provide:
- Proof of low income (health care card or pension card; or a bank statement or payslip; or a refugee card or other proof of low income); and
- Proof of identity, such as a photo ID or two forms of non-photo ID.
You will need an appointment for Casework support and Financial Resilience Counselling services.
To be eligible for the food hampers and medical script services, you must provide:
- Proof of low income (health care card or pension card; or a bank statement or payslip; or a refugee card or other proof of low income); and
- Proof of identity, such as a photo ID or two forms of non-photo ID.
The Brisbane Relief Hub can offer:
- Snack packs and sandwiches, Monday to Thursday.
- Up to 10 free food hampers per financial year, Monday to Thursday.
- Free BBQ burgers every Tuesday, 10:15am to 11:15am.
- Free lunch every Thursday, 1:00 to 2:30pm.
- Free haircuts every 6 weeks on Tuesday mornings, 9:30am to11:00am (provided by Hair Aid).
- Free medical checks on Thursdays, 1:00 to 2:30pm (provided by OneBridge).
- $60 medical script subsidy per financial year.
- Games group, open to all ages, Monday, 1pm to 2:30pm.
- Singing group, Wednesday, 1pm to 3pm.

- The right to be heard: You have the right to explain your situation and your need for emergency relief assistance.
- The right to be treated with respect: You have the right to be treated in a respectful and polite manner in all dealings with our staff and volunteers. We expect the same courtesy in return.
- The right to privacy: You have the right to discrete and private interviews.
- The right to confidentiality: You can expect that all your information will be kept confidential and will not be released or discussed with anyone without your consent.
- The right to information: You have the right to be informed about the policies under which our service operates.
- The right to refuse or accept any offered assistance: You have the right to make your own decision about whether the assistance offered is suitable to you, and to either refuse or accept it.
- The right to complain: You can complain if you think you have been improperly or unfairly treated.
