FAQs

To be eligible to live at WesleyCare Tewantin, you will need NDIS funding that aligns with this specific housing and support model.

As Tewantin is not registered under Specialist Disability Accommodation with the NDIS this funding (SDA) is not required.

You will require Core Supports or Home and Living funding to access Supported Independent Living (SIL) depending on your individual needs. We can also support people with alternative funding arrangements, such as the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) or the National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ).

No. This service is not Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). However, residents receive Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports delivered by our experienced team within the accommodation.

If you’re unsure about eligibility or funding, our team can talk you through the options and help you understand whether this service is the right fit for your needs.

At WesleyCare Tewantin, shared supports are provided at a 1:3 ratio with active overnight support, ensuring residents receive consistent assistance both day and night.

Our experienced team includes on-site nursing staff and qualified Disability Support Workers (Cert III), enabling us to deliver high-intensity supports for participants with complex needs.

Residents are supported to engage in community participation activities, promoting independence and social connection. Together, this integrated model ensures each participant receives the right level of personalised care in a safe and supportive environment.

Care is coordinated through a person-centred approach that reflects each resident's individual needs, goals, and preferences.

Our team works closely with residents, their families and support networks, and relevant providers - including Support Coordinators, allied health professionals, and, where applicable, housing providers - to ensure supports are well coordinated, consistent, and responsive to changing needs.

No allied health services are available at this location. Our team will work with you to coordinate local access as required.
Residents are supported to access a General Practitioner in the community.
